Al Barnes
Asset Management - Copper District
Al Barnes oversees Asset Management for Copper District including retail, commercial, office, multi-family and various community associations expected to be a part of the Copper District development. Prior to Joining CDP in January of 2022, Al spent 15 years in IT space with Red Hat, VMWare, Secureworks and Docker where he held a number of roles in strategic and government account management. In addition, he is a licensed Real Estate Broker in North Carolina and has owned his own successful company, coached collegiately, and worked at Wake Forest University and Radford University in their housing departments overseeing residence hall construction, renovation, and administration.
A Clayton area native, Al attended the University of North Florida where he was an All-American cross country and track athlete while obtaining a master’s degree in English and Education.
